Kodiak’s Raspberry Island Lodge -Port Wakefield – Raspberry Island Alaska
Raspberry Island Lodge is situated on the northeast shore of picturesque Raspberry Island. Amid panoramic wilderness views, the lush mountainous geography is a blend of dense Sitka spruce forests and grassy open meadows plunging abruptly into the crystalline waters of Raspberry Strait. Wildlife abounds in the waters surrounding Raspberry and neighboring Afognak Islands. Sea otter, whales, Stellar sea lions and a myriad of sea birds accent the beautiful, remote island setting. Island inhabitants include Sitka Blacktail Deer, Roosevelt Elk, and of course the Kodiak Brown Bear.
Whether your interests are in fishing, wildlife viewing, whale watching, bear viewing, scenic wilderness tours, hiking, or simply relaxing in pristine surroundings, Raspberry Island Lodge has something for you. All this begins right out of your front door, with the back drop of Afognak Island rising from the sea across the mile wide Raspberry Strait.
Your guides and hosts, Geoff Brown and Bill Ivie, have a combined 67 year fishing history in Alaska and will bring all their skills to bear to ensure your time at Raspberry Island Lodge is a world class experience. Both Geoff and Bill are Coast Guard Licensed.
